Well, this was a lovely surprise…

Welcome.

If you are a regular reader you know I love poetry. In particular, I enjoy and am nourished by haikus, which are a form of Japanese poem.

Traditionally a haiku is 17 syllables over three lines in a 5-7-5 format.

A haiku is a doorway into the present moment.

It captures a moment.

In just a few words, it can evoke wonder.

Haiku reminds us of impermanence. Nothing lasts, and that is why everything is precious.

When I read or write a haiku, I touch this truth, and come home to the simple beauty of being alive.

A haiku can be the catalyst for waking up.

With one particular client, we connected over haikus.

Hence the lovely and warming surprise when they told me they had written haikus about our work together — I call the work together a caring collaboration, aka Pain Coaching.

With permission to share, I am releasing them like a tasting menu—a number of servings.
